Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area.

SAMBURU SOPA LODGE

The guest cottages follow the exterior design of centuries-old, traditional Samburu housing, but the similarity stops there. Instead, the structures have much higher ceilings; far larger windows; much more floor space; and en suite bathrooms.

ELEPHANT BEDROOM

Elephant Bedroom Camp provides a stylish experience along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, in Samburu National Reserve. The classic safari camp is easily accessible all year round. Multiple nearby airstrips mean that guests can enjoy a short transfer of no longer than an hour, with a game drive en-route. The property is also an easy trip by road from Nairobi.

The 14 tented rooms are styled with subtle African tones and have beautiful private decks, perfect for sitting and observing the goings-on along the riverbed.
